Mains-connected power supplies display the information necessary to maintain and control the power supply, in addition to delivering DC power to the facility's devices, which is one of the basic functions of a power supply. These power supplies can display when it is time to replace them, output voltage/current information, and surge current via remote control using Ethernet/IP communications and the main unit monitor, contributing to the following:
• Notify the power supply replacement deadline in advance to reduce unplanned facility shutdowns as a result of a power supply problem.
• Remotely monitor replacement lead time, total operating time, voltage and current of a power supply to reduce maintenance work at the plants.
• When used with the dedicated Power Supply Monitoring Tool software (which will have technical support soon), visualize the power supply status on the power reduction curve *4. To extend the service life, you can easily consider and implement improvement measures by upgrading the installation environment and changing the power supply capacity.
