There are two families of devices in the new LTKAK series TVS diodes, the LTKAK6 and LTKAK10, which offer superior clamping characteristics compared to standard SAD technologies thanks to Littelfuse Foldback technology. This provides a clamping voltage lower than the avalanche voltage (but above the rated operating voltage), thus minimizing any voltage rise due to increased current conduction and providing the best possible level of protection. Overvoltage protection is also excellent, with a surge capacity of 6 kA for the LTKAK6 and 10 kA for the LTKAK10 (8x20µs waveform). A high-power TVS design in a compact and innovative SMT package, the LTKAK6 and LTKAK10 can also be connected in series and/or parallel to create diverse capacities and flexible protection solutions.
