MAX32660: Powerful processing in the smallest form factor
Memory, size, power consumption, and processing power are critical characteristics for engineers designing more complex algorithms for smarter IoT applications. Current solutions offer two extremes: decent power consumption but limited processing and memory capabilities, or higher power consumption with more powerful processors and more memory. The MAX32660 offers designers a sweet spot, giving them access to enough memory to run some advanced algorithms and manage sensors (256 KB of flash and 96 KB of SRAM). It also offers excellent power performance (up to 50 μW/MHz), a very small size (1.6 mm x 1.6 mm in the WLP package), and an affordable price. Engineers can now build smarter sensors and systems that are smaller and less expensive, while also providing longer battery life.
MAX32652: Low power with scalable memory
As IoT devices become smarter, they begin to require more memory and additional embedded processors, which can be very expensive and power-hungry. The MAX32652 offers an alternative for designers who can benefit from the low power consumption of an embedded microcontroller with the capabilities of a more powerful application processor. With 3MB of flash memory and 1MB of SRAM integrated on the chip and running at up to 120 MHz, the MAX32652 provides a highly integrated solution for IoT devices striving for greater processing power and intelligence. Integrated high-speed peripherals such as high-speed USB 2.0, a Secure Digital (SD) card controller, a thin-film transistor (TFT) display controller, and a comprehensive security engine position the MAX32652 as a low-power brain for advanced IoT devices. With the added ability to run from external memory over HyperBus or XcellaBus, the MAX32652 can be designed to do even more in the future, giving designers a future-proof memory architecture and anticipating the growing demands of smart devices.
