The NXP S32R274 radar microcontroller offers a multifaceted solution for general software tasks and in-vehicle bus interfaces. Combined with high-end radio frequency technologies (RFCMOS or BiCMOS), the S32R274 provides designers with a scalable solution that handles ultra-short-range, short-range, medium-range, and long-range radar systems.
The microcontroller offers four Power Architecture® cores, including a 32-bit e200Z4 CPU for its security core and a 32-bit e200Z7 CPU for its dual-compute cores, to deliver exceptional power performance, integration, security, and reliability. Other features include 2 MB of ECC flash memory, 1.5 MB of ECC SRAM, and a Signal Processing Toolkit (SPT) for accelerating radar signal processing. For memory protection, the S32R274 provides 24 entries for each core memory protection unit, a data bus system memory protection unit, instruction and register protection.
The S32R274's security features include a cryptographic security engine for advanced security management, a password and device security module that supports censorship and lifecycle management, and daily tamper detection. With support for ISO 26262 SEOoC up to ASIL-D classification and an AEC-Q100 Grade 1 rating, the S32R274 is an ideal solution for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
The S32R274 is compatible with the S32R274RRUEVB evaluation board, also available from Mouser, which offers a variety of interfaces, including RS232/SCI, FlexRAY, LINFlexD, Ethernet, and two CAN interfaces.
Mouser Electronics, Inc. distributes the S32R274 radar microcontroller from NXP Semiconductors. Designed to meet the high-performance computing demands of modern beamforming and Fast Chirp radar systems, the S32R274 combines signal processing acceleration with a multi-core architecture to deliver up to four times the power performance in industrial and automotive applications compared to previous generations of products.
