Renesas' RA6M4 microcontrollers are manufactured using a 40nm process and offer an energy efficiency of 99 μA/MHz in active mode. The microcontrollers feature a 200 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 core based on the Armv8-M architecture with Arm TrustZone® technology. They also include 1 MB of flash code memory, 256 kB of SRAM, and a capacitive touch sensor.
They feature an integrated security cryptography module with multiple accelerators, a power analysis resistor, and tamper detection. Renesas' Flexible Software Package (FSP) for microcontrollers enables rapid implementation of complex security and connectivity functions by allowing customers to reuse legacy code and combine it with software from other partners. The FSP also provides tools to increase efficiency and accelerate the development process for projects targeting RA6M4 microcontrollers.
Mouser also stocks the RA6M4 evaluation kit, which offers native access via four 40-pin male headers, as well as access to Ethernet connectivity, 64 MB of Octo-SPI external flash and 32 MB of Quad-SPI external flash.
