The TMPM36BF10FG is ideal for controlling complex systems that integrate large software programs and voluminous datasets. Applications include energy management systems (EMS), motor control equipment, communication devices, monitors, printers, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and general industrial equipment.
Thanks to its optimized circuit design, the new TX03 series of microcontrollers consumes only two-thirds the power of equivalent products, despite its large memory capacity and wide range of functional blocks. Mass production of the chip is scheduled to begin in September.
The microcontroller is pin-compatible with the TMPM36BFYFG, which will have lower memory capacity and is scheduled for mass production in November 2013. The controllers are designed so that either one can be selected for use in a system, based on the required memory capacity, without requiring a printed circuit board redesign.

Toshiba Electronics Europe announces the launch of a new ARM® Cortex™ M3®-based microcontroller that combines high-capacity memory with multiple serial interfaces and integrates measurement and communication systems onto a single chip. The TMPM36BF10FG comes equipped with 258 kB of SRAM and 1 MB of ROM.
