This new shielding is in addition to Pickering's internal mu-metal shielding that eliminates magnetic interaction when devices are closely stacked.

The 67 and 68 series high-voltage blade relays are constructed using a leadframe in a single-in-line format and feature non-former coils, meaning they can be housed in a smaller package than usual for this type of device, with dimensions of 58.4 x 12.6 x 14.5 mm. The 67 series relays have PCB connections to both the switch and the coil and offer the highest power switching capacity in the Pickering portfolio: up to 200 W. The 68 series devices have PCB connections to the coil and fly-through leads to the switch, keeping the high voltage away from the PCB. Configurations include:
- 1 SPST Form A up to 10 kV separation, 7.5 kV switching at 50 W (max.);
- 1 SPST Form A up to 8 kV separation, 6 kV switching at 200 W (max.);
- 1 SPDT form C up to 5 kV separation, 2.5 kV switching at 100 W (max.);
- 5, 12 or 24 V coils available with the option of an internal diode in the coil connections.

Kevin Mallett, Technical Specialist at Pickering Electronics, commented: "Pickering is constantly looking to improve our product offering. Electrostatic shielding adds a new level of protection, ensuring that our relay families provide optimal performance for high-voltage applications."
