Printed circuit board designs are drafted, developed, and implemented with the help of digital component libraries used in Autodesk Fusion 360. The purpose of these component libraries is to help designers create electrical circuits, place components on the PCB, or plan board routing.

Libraries are most useful when they are complete. Accordingly, Panasonic Industry now announces the availability of nearly all of its relay families (including PhotoMOS©) as Fusion 360 component libraries. Most components are contained as 2D data, and some as 3D data. The range of details contained in the relay digital models includes basic specifications such as switching current, switching voltage, contact arrangement, and different sizes. Given that relays do not have a standard design, the libraries will provide designers with an extraordinary benefit by helping them identify the best option for electronic circuits.

Smart and convenient: When working in a library, designers can easily access directly linked datasheets with a single click or evaluate suggested alternative products and versions at a glance.

Panasonic Industry's full range of electromechanical relays and PhotoMOS© has recently been implemented as a default library for Fusion 360 and is likely to be expanded in the near future, as Bernd Proessner of Panasonic Industry notes:
"We are pleased to have taken this crucial step towards the digital twinning of our renowned components now - and we look forward to doing the same with our thermal component models."
