Positronic uses a modular tooling that allows the quick change of a very large number of customer-specified contacts with variants up to 100 mm long; however, the molding process results in a one-piece insulator.
Power options include 60, 40, and 30A contacts, or 55 and 12A in the low-profile 8.2mm version. Contact resistance is as low as 1 milliohm for standard conductivity contacts and 0.7 milliohms for high conductivity contacts. 3A signal contacts are available, and blank module options allow for air and leakage line specifications. Contact terminations include board-to-board, board-to-wire, wire-to-wire, and panel-mount options. A wide variety of accessories are available, including connector housing vent slots, an integral blind-connect system, an integral locking system, floating brackets, and panel-mount clips.
