The increasing demand for eco-friendly cars, energy efficiency, and the need to comply with environmental regulations have led to the use of large numbers of electronic control units (ECUs) in car design. Likewise, the demand for high-precision control, greater freedom in component layout, and a reduction in wiring has led to the adoption of integrated mechanical and electrical component configurations in vehicles, with ECUs located in the engine compartment rather than the vehicle's design area. This trend has created a need for smaller ECUs combined with greater vibration resistance.
Panasonic's anti-vibration products address this growing demand. AEC-Q200 compliant capacitors for automotive applications are smaller than traditional capacitors, starting at just 6.3 mm in diameter, and withstand vibration accelerations of up to 30 G. Adopting Panasonic's anti-vibration capacitors eliminates the need for vibration-damping supports as part of the circuit board assembly process, allowing customers to streamline their production processes. Furthermore, the auxiliary terminals on the 6.3 mm capacitor are located on the sides of the capacitor to facilitate visual confirmation of the auxiliary terminal soldering, ensuring stable solder properties and improving the overall vibration resistance of electronic control units.
Key features and benefits include:
• Vibration damping up to 30 G
• Surface mount technology
• Available in diameters from 6.3 mm to 18 mm
• Durability and high performance
• AEC-Q200 compliant
• RoHS and REACH compliant
