It combines the electronic switching unit and the ultracapacitor-based energy storage system in a single housing. It incorporates a USB interface, allowing for the generation of commands for the controlled shutdown of an industrial PC. These new modules are available in two variants, capable of providing backup power of either 5 or 10 A for at least 30 seconds.
Thanks to their compact design, the modules save space in the control cabinet. They also boast a particularly long service life of over 20 years at 20°C and more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles. With soft start capability, the buffer modules can also be used with low-power power supplies without causing dangerous overloads. Their wide range of signaling options and broad operating temperature range of -40 to +60°C ensure flexible application.
