Click™ boards enable developers to quickly create working prototypes, perform integration testing, and efficiently program embedded projects. The ETH WIZ 3 Click provides advanced Ethernet connectivity along with integrated processing capabilities, making it an ideal choice for IoT applications, industrial automation, and connected smart devices.
ETH WIZ 3 Click is based on the WIZNet W55RP20 System-in-Package (SiP), which integrates the W5500 Ethernet controller with the dual-core Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller. It offers an integrated TCP/IP stack with support for multiple network protocols, Ethernet PHY, an Arm Cortex-M0+ CPU up to 133 MHz, internal Flash and SRAM memory, and configurable SPI or UART communication via the COMM SEL selector.
It also includes USB Type-C connectivity with an internal USB 2.0 controller, status and TCP activity LEDs, network diagnostics support, and exposed magnetic Ethernet pins for optional PoE implementation. It also incorporates test points for advanced debugging.
As part of the Click™ ecosystem, compatible with mikroBUS™, the ETH WIZ 3 Click integrates seamlessly with over 1,900 boards in the MIKROE catalog. Furthermore, it features ClickID for automatic discovery by the host system and is compatible with the open-source mikroSDK libraries, facilitating its adoption in professional IoT projects and embedded systems.
According to Nebojša Matic, CEO of MIKROE, this board is ideal for IoT gateways, industrial control, connected devices, and embedded systems that require simplified and efficient Ethernet integration. Furthermore, it is part of the Click™ ecosystem, which includes hundreds of boards and thousands of ready-to-use projects available on EmbeddedWiki.
