It operates using the NuMicro® M55M1 series microcontroller, which combines the Arm® Cortex®-M55 core with the Ethos™-U55 neural processing unit (NPU). By providing a robust hardware environment, the module enables developers to rapidly implement intelligent gesture recognition and visual perception in smart home appliances, industrial equipment, and medical devices. The NuMaker-GestureAI-M55M1 effectively accelerates the process from prototyping to mass production and is now available exclusively through the Nuvoton Direct online store.

The module uses the M55M1R2LJAE chip and operates at 220 MHz. It features a special "AI accelerator" inside that allows it to work very quickly: Ready-to-use gesture software and tools.
Fast AI performance: It features an Arm® Ethos™-U55 NPU for rapid AI task execution. It consumes less power and runs complex AI models smoothly.
Large memory capacity: It has 2 MB of Flash and 1.5 MB of SRAM. This allows the board to run large AI models smoothly for gesture or people detection.

The NuMaker-GestureAI-M55M1 is designed for gesture control. The software is already integrated and can perform many functions: Where to use it:
Numerous hand gestures: It can recognize more than 10 gestures, such as Call, Like, OK, and Stop.
People detection: It can detect people and display their location. It sends this data via a UART port.
AI tools: It works with Nuvoton's AI tools. This helps you easily implement your own AI models (such as TensorFlow Lite Micro) on the board.
This module is very flexible and can be used in many fields: Medical: Control hospital machines without touching them.
Smart home: Control your TV, air conditioner, or lights with your hand.
Factory: Control machines with gestures to maintain safety and hygiene.
Security: Use it in door systems to locate people.
