The P51U, along with the X50, is Shuttle's second 15.6" model. It's the first of its size with a capacitive IPS screen and a 1920x1080 pixel resolution, enabling intuitive and easy multi-finger operation. Thanks to its compact dimensions of 39.3x27.3x4.0 cm (width x height x depth), it integrates seamlessly into a wide variety of environments. Therefore, the P51U is better suited to the POS sector than the consumer segment. Retail and food service businesses are, first and foremost, two essential end users for this all-in-one PC.

Inside the device, a compact yet powerful Intel Celeron 4205U processor operates. This dual-core processor delivers 2 x 1.8 GHz and features an integrated graphics chip, the HD Graphics 610. It has two slots for a total of 32 GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory. The compact chassis also accommodates a 2.5-inch hard drive (HDD/SSD) and an additional NVMe SSD in M.2 format. Webcam, microphone, speaker, WLAN, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet are all included. With six external USB ports and one internal port, a card reader, and two COM ports, the P51U offers a wide range of connectivity options. Two additional displays can be connected via HDMI and VGA.

Thanks to its IP54 rating, the front of the model is protected against liquid splashes and is also suitable for operation in dusty environments. This fanless barebone is ideal for continuous use. The stand is adjustable and removable if needed; and with a VESA mount, it can be attached to a monitor arm, wall, or other surface.

"With the P51U, we're further expanding and making our POS position more flexible. Thanks to new practical features, it opens up more possibilities in terms of placement and use," explains Tom Seiffert, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "Following the X50, P20U, and P90U, the P51U is our fourth all-in-one PC platform. It's available in 19.5", 15.6", and 11.6" screen sizes."

Two additional COM ports (PCP21) can be added as an option. For the first time in a Shuttle XPC, the P51U is available with a rechargeable battery as a portable power source. However, for now, it only comes pre-installed when a complete Shuttle system is purchased.

The optional lithium-ion battery is not only useful during power outages; it also allows for up to seven hours of autonomous operation (depending on usage). To achieve this, the P51U integrates an electronic charging system and a status LED on the front.

Aside from the Celeron variant, the use of other soldered Intel Core series CPU models is being considered for the future.
