The TPC-100W series now includes Secure Boot as part of its certification requirements, providing enhanced protection against unauthorized code execution and firmware attacks. This security feature utilizes Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), a system of digital certificates, asymmetric encryption, and a Certificate Authority (CA). PKI ensures that verified, trusted software runs during the boot process, acting as a defense against malicious code and preserving system integrity.

The Arm® SystemReady IR certification guarantees that the TPC-100W series meets industry standards, ensuring its integration with various software and hardware environments. A key feature of this certification is UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) compatibility, which standardizes the boot process, minimizes compatibility issues, and simplifies IoT deployment. UEFI ensures consistent and reliable startup.

The Arm® System Ready IR certification allows the TPC-100W series to support various operating systems, including Linux Yocto, Ubuntu, Debian, and others. This broad support is possible because it ensures compatibility with standardized boot processes and hardware interfaces. By adhering to these standards, the
TPC-100W series can run different operating systems with minimal customization. With standard Linux distributions, the series integrates seamlessly into existing ecosystems, enabling automatic, real-time security updates.

The TPC-100W series comprises industrial Panel PCs with 7", 10.1", 15.6", and 21.5" truly flat screens featuring P-CAP multi-touch control, CAN 2.0 compatibility, and PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) functionality. Advantech also introduces the TPC-100WX model, designed for extreme environments, offering an outdoor-readable screen, an extended operating temperature range, and enhanced shock resistance for harsh conditions.
