Simatic IPC827C Box-PC
Siemens' Industry Automation division is expanding its high-end range of industrial PCs equipped with powerful 2010 generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors with the Simatic IPC827C Box PC for harsh industrial environments. The new PC boasts nearly twice the performance of its predecessor and offers exceptional application flexibility thanks to its five PCI/PCIe slots. The Simatic IPC827C is ideal for fast-paced measurement, control, and visualization tasks at the machine level. This robust PC is designed for 24/7 operation, even in environments with high temperatures, vibrations, shocks, and electromagnetic interference.
The new Simatic IPC827C Box PC stands out for its speed in processing large volumes of data in sophisticated automation applications. It features a latest-generation Intel Core i3 or i7 processor and is equipped with up to 4 GB of DDR3 memory, optionally with integrated ECC error correction. The integrated high-definition graphics controller has been improved, offering 3 to 5 times the power of its predecessor and enabling fast visualization solutions. A powerful graphics card can be added via a PCIe-x16 slot. Thanks to Intel's latest Mobile technology, the Box PC is notable for its low power consumption and high energy efficiency. This is further enhanced by the power supply, with over 80% efficiency, and the Wake-on-LAN functionality. The Core i7 variant, powered by Intel Active Management Technology (AMT), allows password-protected remote access. This enables authorized technicians to remotely manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the industrial PC.
