The demand includes a visually appealing design with the latest technologies for touch, PC, and communication interfaces. To meet the diverse requirements, Distec offers customized solutions in addition to its comprehensive catalog of standard displays. "We tailor our custom displays precisely to our customers' wishes, however complex they may be," explained Michael Dernbach, Product Marketing Manager for Display Solutions at Distec. "The results range from modified standard products to entirely new monitors. At the recent Integrated Systems Europe trade fair in Amsterdam, for example, we presented customer-specific displays with 4K UHD PCAP technology in large sizes up to 75 inches." Furthermore, Distec can now equip industrial POS-Line touchscreen monitors with capacitive buttons upon request.

Buttons and Touchscreens on a Single Panel:
Responding to customer requests and market needs, Distec now offers optional PCAP buttons for its robust PCAP touchscreen monitors and POS-Line series panel PCs. While touchscreens, especially those with multi-touch capabilities, are in high demand for industrial HMI technology, they won't completely replace traditional push-button controls anytime soon. On the contrary, integrating both into a single panel is becoming increasingly popular. "Industrial customers often prefer a combination of touchscreen operation and conventional buttons," said Michael Dernbach. Traditional buttons are primarily used for controlling safety-related commands.

POS-Line 15-24 inch industrial monitor
family combines the latest technology with the most attractive design. This provides a suitable solution for all users requiring a robust metal housing for harsh working environments, reliable 24/7 operation, and (depending on the use case) a variety of different controller and front panel options. A passively cooled CPU, as needed, offers silent 0 dB operation and extended device lifespan. Combined with front-end IP protection up to IP65 and a temperature range of -25°C to +65°C, they are ideal for use in harsh industrial and digital signage environments, such as process and data visualization in production and logistics buildings, or digital signage in public areas.
