Headlining the booth (4-319, June 5-7), Yamaha's new state-of-the-art printer features fully automated product changeovers for high-speed, error-free productivity, up to the best resolutions for 0201 passives and fine flip-chip pass ICs
Visitors also have their first opportunity to see the new YSi-SP inline 3D printed paste inspection machine, following its global launch in January. Powering today's data-driven manufacturing, the YSi-SP with Statistical Process Control (SPC) provides deeper insights into print process performance for increased throughput and continuous improvement. The YSi-SP is engineered for speed and efficiency with a single inspection head, featuring proprietary algorithms for 2D/3D image handling and camera resolution control.
Also being introduced for the first time and meeting European audiences for the first time, the YSM20R assembler is designed for complete speed and flexibility. Expanding on the performance and capabilities of the high-efficiency Z:LEX modular design, the YSM20R increases assembly speed by approximately 5% and expands the maximum component dimensions with the scanning chamber to 12 mm x 12 mm for greater productivity. With options including Yamaha's Automatic Load Feeder (ALF), Automatic Tray Sequencer (ATS) for non-stop tray replacement, and a non-stop feeder and carriage exchange system, the YSM20R keeps production moving for maximum efficiency.
Furthermore, the Σ-G5S II, the latest and most successful in Yamaha's family of premium modular mounting machines, builds upon the success of the high-precision, direct-drive rotary head design and other innovations that increase the ideal maximum mounting speed by 20% to 90,000 cph. Additional new features further enhance productivity, including a revised circuit board feeding sequence and an enlarged internal buffer for accommodating larger boards. The Σ-G5S II retains key innovations from the Σ-G5S, including die feature recognition for repeatable and optically precise LED placement.
Support tools: Yamaha Intelligent Factory and Yamaha's Factory Tools
At the same time, visitors can see the latest releases in Yamaha's Intelligent Factory software suite, which unifies all equipment in the Yamaha True Total Line Solution and offers manufacturers unparalleled visibility, understanding, and control of SMD assembly activities in their factory, with support for troubleshooting and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime and utilization. The latest features of Factory Tools 4.0 include real-time feeder performance and status monitoring, M2M capabilities that send production data directly to the line supervisor's mobile device anywhere in the factory, database-driven traceability, and statistical process control (SPC).
The suite now comprises more than 20 applications covering configuration, programming, monitoring, and traceability down to the component and nozzle level. These support production managers. Furthermore, manufacturing managers can customize the tools to meet their specific needs, such as optimizing a line, coordinating automated component towers, or streamlining changeovers. Factory Tools 4.0 can also help simplify feeder management, optimize production across multiple lines, and meet the quality demands of markets such as automotive, medical, and aerospace.
