HEITEC has expanded its comprehensive portfolio of enclosures with new standard CompactPCI® platforms that provide answers to many design needs.
In addition to the 84HP VM CompactPCI® series line with a 9-slot Ethernet full mesh backplate already unveiled at SPS, HEITEC is introducing two new 42HP 4U platforms for mounting 3U cards.
The HEIpac Vario-A CPCI-S is a system platform derived from the Vario rack family with a 5-slot Ethernet star backplate, including competitive base cooling via axial fans and power supplies tailored to customer needs—from cost-effective, efficient ATX drives to plug-in units and redundant power supplies. The robust chassis offers affordable access to the CompactPCI® series.
The other system platform being introduced, the 4U HEIpac VM-R CPCI-S, can be used as a desktop or rackmount version. It features a radial fan and is well-suited for customers whose environments require front-to-back cooling. The VM chassis can be customized in any desired color.
A wide range of applications can be covered thanks to the flexibility offered by two cooling options, customizable widths up to 84 HP, and scalable power supply levels. Depending on the application, hybrid backplanes can be used. This allows customers to utilize both classic CompactPCI® boards and serial CompactPCI® modules via a well-designed slot system board. The aforementioned enclosures can be adapted to alternative backplane solutions such as VPX.
