Professional 3D printing system ready for production
The HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solution revolutionizes design, prototyping, and manufacturing, delivering very high-quality physical parts up to 10 times faster¹ and at half the cost² of current 3D printing systems. By printing functional parts for the first time at the level of individual voxels (a voxel is the 3D equivalent of a 2D pixel in traditional printing), HP offers customers unprecedented ability to transform part properties and provide mass customization.
Designed for model shops and 3D printing service centers, the HP Jet Fusion 3D Solution offers:
• Reduced workflow and costs for radical prototyping.
• Possibility of manufacturing final parts with advances in terms of profitability.
• Open materials and software innovation platform that reduces barriers to adoption and enables new applications across all industries.
HP introduces two new 3D printers, designed for prototyping and rapid production.
• The HP Jet Fusion 3D printer 3200 is ideal for prototyping, as it provides better productivity and the ability to increase usage at a lower cost per part.
• The HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 printer is designed to meet the needs of short-run prototyping and manufacturing, with high productivity to complete prototyping in a single day at a lower cost per part.
• A synchronized set of tools that includes intuitive software, the innovative HP Jet Fusion 3D Processing Station with Rapid Cooling, and high-quality materials.
In keeping with its vision to offer an open platform, announced in 2014, HP and its certified partners will collaborate to deliver innovative materials and new applications for its HP Multi Jet Fusion Solution, aimed at reducing 3D printing costs and accelerating industry adoption. HP is creating a 3D materials application store and is already collaborating with certified partners including Arkema, BASF, Evonik, and Lehmann & Voss, with plans to expand the open platform ecosystem.
HP has also collaborated with leading software partners to make the design-to-print process easier and more intuitive. These partners include Autodesk, Materialise, and Siemens. Through its integration with leading manufacturing software solution providers, HP is enabling greater integration of 3D printing into manufacturing processes. HP is a founding member of the industry consortium that developed 3MF, an enhanced 3D printing file format. The HP Jet Fusion 3D Printing Solution is the first 3D printer fully compliant with this industry standard.
As HP expands its range of materials and colors, customers will benefit from the ability to transform part properties at the voxel level, enabling unprecedented control and limitless combinations of applications, colors, and materials with unique properties yet to be imagined, including:
• The ability to print with integrated intelligence, such as sensors in parts, is key to the Internet of Things.
• Printing parts with embedded information, such as invisible fingerprints or codes, will provide a future of greater security and traceability to reinvent supply chains.
In the future, it is expected that up to 50 percent of custom plastic parts for HP JetFusion 3D Printers will be printed and produced using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology instead of traditional manufacturing methods.
Combined with innovations like Sprout by HP, the complete digitization of the design-to-production process will fundamentally alter traditional manufacturing. Digitization and 3D printing can help revitalize regions around the world that are balancing sustainability with industrial growth. Digitization and 3D printing will reinvent traditional supply chains and create a just-in-time delivery model.
