RS Components (RS), a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, distributes the R12 and R17 benchtop robots from ST Robotics. They are easy to program, even for those who have never programmed a robotic arm before. Furthermore, they are capable of performing complex tasks, such as product testing, sample handling, automated restocking, and sound measurement.
Both models come with a controller, touch panel, connectors, manuals, RoboForthII and RobWin7 software. They are suitable for applications requiring uninterrupted operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The R12 model is available in five- or six-axis versions, offers a reach of 500 mm, and can handle a payload of 1 kg. The R17 model is larger; it is a five-axis robot (six-axis version optional) and can handle a payload of 3 kg with a reach of 750 mm.
