The iVY2 supports cameras up to 5 megapixels, enabling high-resolution imaging for fast and stable part detection. Furthermore, assisted automatic calibration and easy three-step part registration eliminate time-consuming setup tasks. Users can complete configurations up to 80% faster than with typical general-purpose vision systems.
Other powerful features of the iVY2 vision system include an image edge search engine that improves part detection in challenging lighting conditions, and a DVI-I output that allows users to analyze the search status at any time, even during calibration or when the robot is operating automatically. It also supports additional part types, with the capacity to register up to 254 parts.
Compatibility with the RCX340 controller allows iVY2 to take advantage of dedicated vision instructions that simplify programming and accelerate component search and tracking, along with the optional RCX340 tracking board. Search time is reduced by up to 50%, enabling iVY2 to detect large quantities of parts transported at high speed and thus improve robot capture.
