Álava Ingenieros and Cinergia sign an agreement for the marketing of regenerative power converters
With this strategic alliance, Álava Ingenieros strengthens its portfolio of T&M solutions for energy and power testing in academic, development, production and quality applications, and in fields as diverse as electromobility, smartGrids, renewable energies, power electronics, test platforms, etc., with 100% regenerative equipment.
Cinergia (Intelligent Energy Control) is a Spanish company founded in 2008 with university origins, initially focused on engineering services and the development of custom power electronics. Specializing in the development of power converters and associated digital control, it develops high-tech standard equipment such as:
• Network emulators
• Programmable power supplies, both AC and DC
• Programmable electronic loads, both AC and DC
• Battery cyclers and battery emulators
• MicroGrid manager, for both grid-tied and off-grid (island) use
In addition to the regenerative grid emulator (GE), the regenerative electronic load (EL) is a key component in the smart grid field. Being bidirectional and 4Q (four-quadrant), it allows the simulation of both linear electrical loads (resistive, inductive, capacitive, or any combination of phase shifts) and non-linear loads (up to a crest factor of 3), as well as grid-connected electrical generators (e.g., photovoltaic and wind turbine inverters). This enables the emulation of the power profile of any load, DER generator, or ESS storage system.
