This acquisition marks a turning point in Cyient Semiconductors' ambition to establish the first major Indian player in custom ASIC-based power semiconductors. By combining Cyient Semiconductors' design leadership with Kinetic Technologies' established portfolio of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits—including power conversion, display power, protection, and interface solutions—the company is positioned to take a leading role in high-growth markets.
Leveraging proprietary technologies and over 100 patents, Kinetic's deep expertise in power and protection architectures will accelerate the development of custom chips, enabling Cyient Semiconductors to offer differentiated system-level solutions that deliver enhanced performance, scalability, and cost efficiency for customers worldwide.
The acquisition is designed to leverage and enhance Kinetic Technologies' engineering culture and strong customer relationships. The current management team and engineering organization will continue to operate within their existing structure, aligned with the strategic direction and oversight of the Cyient Semiconductors board, ensuring continuity for customers, partners, and employees, as they have experienced for almost two decades.

“Combining Kinetic’s deep expertise in power management and protection with Cyient Semiconductors’ custom ASIC engine significantly strengthens our platform strategy to address the explosion in demand driven by AI,” said Suman Narayan, CEO of Cyient Semiconductors. “This will allow us to shorten development cycles and scale our ability to solve the most complex power, thermal, and reliability challenges in high-volume systems. The result is application-specific power management ICs for data centers, communications, medical electronics, and industrial IoT that deliver higher performance and lower total cost of ownership.”

“Kinetic Technologies stands to benefit greatly from the opportunities in the semiconductor market, the availability of talent in India, and having a strategic partner like Cyient Semiconductors supporting our future growth,” added Kin Shum, CEO of Kinetic Technologies. “The Indian market is on the cusp of a semiconductor disruption similar to what other Asian countries experienced 10–15 years ago, and being part of that process is exciting.”.
