The cost savings and reduced environmental impact are realized when products no longer need to be shipped to US facilities for reshipment to Europe, eliminating costly shipping fees, additional time, and the environmental impact of shipping. Shipments sent within Europe will typically arrive the next day instead of several days as before.
With products no longer needing to be shipped outside of Europe, a wider range of products can be shipped, including lithium batteries, heavy automation equipment, chemicals and adhesives, solar products, and more.
Currently, approximately 30,000 SKUs are available for this program, with more being added daily. DigiKey still handles the entire transaction, meaning customers continue to enjoy world-class customer service, as DigiKey continues to oversee every order.
