IQD develops, manufactures, and distributes quartz crystal oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs, OCXOs, GPS-synchronized OCXOs, and rubidium oscillators. IQD also offers customized product solutions for its customers. The company's target markets include industry, communications, consumer electronics, automotive, aerospace, and medical. "With the addition of IQD, our group now includes a highly innovative company with cutting-edge technology and component solutions that significantly expand our product portfolio. We are particularly excited that we can now offer new products for IoT, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 5G applications," says Oliver Konz, CEO of the Würth Elektronik eiSos group.

Other reasons for the acquisition included the company’s certified quality level (ISO 9001, TS16949, and AEC-Q200) and its strong global reputation.
