The opening of CETISS is part of the agreement signed in May 2018 by Indra with the Xunta de Galicia for the launch of the center in the facilities of the City of Culture of Santiago de Compostela in order to promote the digital transformation of social and health services.
The company's objective with CETISS is to concentrate knowledge and technological development and innovation activities in areas such as active aging and patient empowerment, social and healthcare records, social cards, and Digital Homes, among others. It currently has a staff of 40 professionals. It is also conceived as a demonstration center for products and solutions aimed at improving the care and quality of life of citizens, some of which Minsait and the Xunta de Galicia (Galician Regional Government) are currently working on.
This is the case with the Single Social History (SSH), which helps to streamline the processing of services and benefits and provide more personalized attention. The collaboration with Minsait has enabled social workers in more than 250 municipalities to access the SSH platform, where the social histories of over 650,000 citizens are already available electronically.
Also highly relevant is the Digital Home solution, which allows for a proactive, remotely assisted control model for chronic patients, facilitating the early detection of possible health deteriorations and avoiding travel.
Another important goal of CETISS is to act as a driving force for the creation of a stable community among Galician businesses, universities, healthcare institutions, and R&D centers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation both locally and internationally. Furthermore, it plans to provide services based on the solutions developed at the center to clients in other autonomous communities and countries.
Call for Ideas for Entrepreneurship and Startups in the Social and Healthcare Sector.
At the CETISS inauguration ceremony, the launch of a call for proposals was announced to identify disruptive ideas that will boost technological entrepreneurship and the development of new companies (startups) in the social and healthcare sector. The call will be launched later this year by Indraventures, the vehicle through which Indra's corporate innovation is structured, in collaboration with the Agency for Technological Modernization of Galicia (Amtega), and will be managed through CETISS.
This call for proposals is open to the entire national and even international innovation ecosystem, from entrepreneurs and students to universities, spin-off companies, and technology centers, among others, for the submission of technology-based business initiatives at various stages of development, including those in the seed phase. Winning proposals will receive financial support and mentoring for their acceleration over six months, both within and outside of Galicia
