The AS9120 standard details guidelines that allow distributors to identify trusted sources, assess and mitigate the risk of distributing counterfeit parts, and monitor and report on counterfeit or fraudulent parts, whether suspected or confirmed.
The regulation is especially beneficial for customers working with security-critical applications, or those dealing with obsolete or hard-to-find components where the risk of counterfeiting is much higher.
