This agreement ensures the continuous delivery of reliable and durable batteries to provide critical power to a range of portable military equipment, including, for example, radios.

Backed by a long lifespan, high energy density and low self-discharge rate, SAFT's lithium primary batteries have been reliably powering the U.S. military worldwide for more than two decades.

“Saft is thrilled to build on this long-term relationship with key military customers,” said Igal Carni, Vice President of Saft’s Civil Electronics Division. “Ensuring the U.S. military has the tools it needs to operate safely on the battlefield is critical, and we look forward to supplying the DLA with lithium primary batteries designed to withstand the mechanical and electrical demands of combat and training.”.

With this new contract, Saft remains a leading supplier of lithium-ion primary batteries to the U.S. Army. The batteries will be delivered from Saft's Valdese, North Carolina facility, the leading supplier of these types of military batteries for conflicts in the Middle East.
