Among the contestants were eight engineers from the European region. Representing AssemRus and Universalpribor from Russia, ProSMT from Turkey, and Renex, the distributor for Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia, they demonstrated their expertise in a series of tests that included creating PCB line data, programming, troubleshooting analysis, and remote machine support.
Pawel Malinowski of Renex won the special customer support award and secured third place overall, receiving an official Yamaha prize: an iPad mini. Gökhan Asan of Pro SMT further enhanced the European network's reputation, finishing in fourth place. Yamaha Motor Robotics Europe added a stylish jacket to Pawel's prize. Showing off his new look, Pawel shared how much he had enjoyed the competition and the opportunity to highlight the excellent support that customers in Europe, and Renex customers in particular, can rely on.
In congratulating both engineers, Ralf Keller, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Robotics Europe, commented: "Their outstanding performances highlight the excellence of our network and I look forward to seeing more engineers from our agents across Europe take up the challenge next year.".
