The R-78Bxx 2.0 series switching regulators are ideally suited to replace 78xx linear regulators and are also compatible with linear regulators in TO-220 packages. This series offers a wide range of output voltages from 1.2 VDC to 15 VDC and input voltages up to 32 VDC. With an efficiency level of 96%, very little power is lost as heat. Up to 30 watts of power are delivered over a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C without the need for heatsinks, reducing assembly costs and saving space. Tight output regulation protects against sudden changes in input voltage and maintains low interference levels and a stable output voltage. The L-shaped version with 90° pins allows for direct replacement of horizontally mounted regulators where component height is critical. They are protected against short circuits. Low ripple and noise figures, along with a 50 mA inrush current under short-circuit conditions, round out the specifications of this versatile converter series. All modules are certified to IEC/EN62368-1 and EN55022 with a CB report and come with a three-year warranty. Samples are now available from our authorized distributors.
