As a central power supply, the REDIN/3CA product family is designed to offer extreme stability, even in the harsh environment of process automation, and operates reliably with mains voltages from 320 to 575 V DC, even in the event of a third-phase failure.
With this addition to its portfolio, RECOM now meets the needs of its customers across the entire field. From sensitive, low-power electronics and sensors with ultra-miniaturized, highly efficient DC converters to the core front end of a stable grid connection, the REDIN/3CA series delivers 120 W, 240 W, 480 W, or 960 W at a nominal 24 V DC with only 40 mV ripple current, or 22.5–29.5 V DC adjustable via a precision potentiometer. To increase power output, devices can be connected in parallel without further precautions; current-limiting sag mode control ensures load balancing. 100% of the rated power is available within a temperature range of -25°C to +55°C. The intrinsically safe power supplies are equipped with power recovery in case of overheating. Regulated U/I power limiting also ensures stable start-up of non-linear loads. The series has been approved according to IEC/UL508 and UL/IEC/EN 60950 for worldwide availability and comes with a 5-year warranty. Samples and serial quantities are now available through all authorized distributors.
