The AEA1000F series is suitable for body-floating (BF) applications and meets 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (OUT/FG) safety requirements. Its design is optimized for air convection, making it ideal for use in equipment operating in low-noise environments.
With increasingly higher levels of automation in industrial and medical applications, power supplies must be able to deliver extra power during peak operating times required by dynamic loads, such as motor startup. To meet and maintain these conditions, the power supply must be designed with a high level of dynamic control and a power stage capable of sustaining repetitive peak loads. The AEA1000F is capable of delivering 330% of its rated power, cooled by air convection, for up to 3,000 milliseconds, which is exceptional and meets the latest market requirements for industrial and medical equipment.
Industrial applications now require efficient power supplies capable of operating in diverse environments with a high level of safety. The AEA1000F is certified to EN62477-1 Overvoltage Category Three (OVC III), meaning that end equipment powered by this product can be connected directly to the main distribution panel without adding an extra layer of insulation. This simplifies the system designer's task, reduces costs, and ensures maximum efficiency.
For medical applications, the AEA1000F's input-to-output insulation meets 2 MOPP, its input-to-ground 1 MOPP, and its output-to-ground 1 MOPP, making the product suitable for body-floating (BF) applications. The units are approved in accordance with ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd Edition.
The AEA1000F features 4,000 VAC input-to-output isolation, 2,000 VAC input-to-ground (FG) isolation, and 1,500 VAC output-to-ground (FG) isolation.
Designed for international applications, the versatile AEA1000F has an input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC. It offers three output voltages: 24 V, 36 V, and 48 V, with corresponding current ratings of 42 A, 28 A, and 21 A. The output voltage can be adjusted using a built-in potentiometer.
To achieve low harmonic distortion, the EA1000F uses an active power factor correction (PFC), and the switching stage employs a resonant LLC topology using the latest generation of power semiconductors, resulting in a typical efficiency of up to 95%.
For additional power, up to six AEA1000F units can be connected in parallel. When connected in parallel, adjusting the output voltage on the master unit automatically adjusts the output voltage of the slave units to match.
Optimized for convection cooling, the AEA1000F can operate in an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. Depending on the mounting method and ventilation used in the final equipment, power reduction may apply as specified in the technical documentation.
The AEA1000F includes inrush current, overcurrent, and overvoltage protection circuits, as well as thermal protection.
In its open rack format, the AEA1000F measures 50 x 127 x 228.6 mm (1.97 x 5 x 9 inches) and weighs a maximum of 1.5 kg.
The AEA1000F meets the following safety requirements: UL (United States), C-UL (Canada), DEMKO (Denmark), and TUV (Germany). The product is certified to UL62368-1, EN62368-1, and EN62477-1 (OVC III).
To meet specific application requirements, a range of options are available, including: Cover (C), Additional Cover (N), Vertically Positioned Screws on Terminal Block (T), Terminal Block Replaced by a Connector (J), Extended Features: Auxiliary Outputs (AUX1 12V1A), (AUX2 5V1A), Remote On/Off and Alarm (R3), UL508 Certification (T5), Overcurrent Protection Mode Changed from Hiccup to Off (P5).
The AEA series is suitable for a wide range of applications such as: robots and robotics, infusion pumps, ventilators, actuators, process control, radio and transmission equipment, and emergency signaling.
The AEA1000F series has a full five-year warranty and complies with European RoHS, REACH, and Low Voltage Directives.
