The UF40.241 compensates for DC power supply failures and can also extend the backup time after a mains power outage. Depending on the output current, this minimum time can be 160 ms at 40 A and increase to several seconds with lower loads.
In areas with poor power quality, the module can help maintain the supply voltage so that data can be saved and processes can be completed in a controlled manner. The buffer module is also suitable for applications requiring a peak current that exceeds the power supply's current capacity.
The UF40.241 can be easily installed in parallel with the load circuit at any point and operates autonomously. The modules' lifespan is matched to the lifespan of the power supplies. It uses maintenance-free electrolytic capacitors (a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to lead-acid batteries) to store energy, allowing it to operate even in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. Furthermore, the buffer modules can be connected in parallel to increase output capacity or runtime.
