The high performance of this line-interactive UPS is ideal for servers, switches, routers, network storage devices, and small data center environments up to 1,550 VA. The 5P UPS supports virtualization strategies thanks to its seamless integration with Eaton Intelligent Power® software and provides simplified power management through its intuitive graphical display, with comprehensive energy consumption metering and pure sine wave output. The new 5P UPSs complement the recently launched and popular 5PX series, offering customers a broad range of high-performance UPSs with ratings up to 3 kVA.

On a single screen, the graphic LCD, integrated into the front of the UPS, displays information about the overall power system status along with real-time values of key operating parameters. The display can be configured in multiple languages and features keys for easy navigation, making UPS setup quick and simple.
Exceptional operating efficiency of up to 98% minimizes energy costs and cooling requirements, while the kWh metering function allows for highly accurate measurement of the energy delivered to the load. The installation can also be managed using load segmentation, allowing less critical loads to be disconnected during a power outage to extend runtime.
The 5P includes Eaton Intelligent Power software, an innovative power management and protection software solution. With this software, users can integrate with VMware's vCenter Server™ virtualization solution, as well as other virtualization platforms such as Citrix® XenServer, Microsoft SCVMM™, Red Hat®, and other open-source Xen® platforms. The integration enables automatic and seamless live migration of virtual machines to unaffected devices during a power outage, and also provides an orderly shutdown of computers, virtual machines, and servers during a prolonged power interruption. Furthermore, the 5P offers USB and serial connectivity ports and supports an optional communication card that enables system management via, for example, SNMP/Web or contact card.
Available in power ratings from 650VA to 1,550VA, the 5P delivers a perfect sine wave output, powering even the most sensitive loads, including servers with active power factor correction (A-PFC).
Thanks to ABM® battery management technology, the 5P ensures increased battery life and reliability. This technology ensures that batteries are charged
only when needed, extending battery life by up to 50%.
Additionally, when batteries require maintenance or replacement, they can be hot-swapped without interrupting power supply.
