Key Features of a Containerized Energy Storage System
• The battery solution sets new standards for flexibility, efficiency, and safety in the industrial setting. With capacity configurations ranging from 708 kWh to 7.78 MWh, the solution can be integrated with site controllers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and other system components.
• The entire container can be transported without disassembling the battery modules. The battery solution also enables efficient on-site operation: flexible dust connectors between containers allow for easy positioning and prevent unnecessary lifting. Furthermore, side cable entry eliminates the need for excavation. On-site installation without opening the battery compartment protects the system from moisture and dust.

The Delta solution is based on lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells as a core component to enhance safety and longevity. Dynamic protection mechanisms are an integral part of the system to minimize the risk of thermal runaway. Various system monitoring and protection features also enable a rapid response to potential fires, while fire-resistant materials and optional fire suppression systems control heat spread, limiting damage in the event of an accident.

• Integrated proactive cell control technology enhances battery stability by dynamically monitoring cells during charging and discharging to increase system discharge capacity. Delta's Battery Management System (BMS) ensures rapid communication response and real-time data exchange to maintain system operational reliability. Enhanced detection and communication ensure the system remains controllable at all times for safe, high performance.

Delta's battery system has been certified according to UL 9540A and has also received additional certifications such as UL 1973, IEC 62619 (including thermal runaway), UN 38.3 and IEC 60730.
