This dual architecture can be selected via software or by programming the on-chip OTP memory. These powerful cores, along with a large amount of on-chip SRAM and unique programmable I/O subsystems, make it the ideal choice for applications requiring high performance, flexible connectivity, and robust security, ranging from industrial automation to consumer electronics. Despite its impressive feature set, the RP2350's affordable price also allows for its integration into high-volume, low-cost end devices.

The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 microcontroller, also available from Mouser, offers a significant performance boost with a higher core clock speed, double the memory, more powerful Arm cores, optional RISC-V cores, enhanced security features, and improved connectivity, allowing developers to experiment with RISC-V architecture in a stable and highly compatible environment. Maintaining backward compatibility with previous Raspberry Pi Pico series devices, the Pico 2 pairs the RP2350 with 4MB of onboard QSPI flash memory (up from the 2MB in the Raspberry Pi Pico) for code and data storage. Programmable in C/C++ and Python, Raspberry Pi also offers the Pico 2W, a wireless variant with 2.4GHz 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 5.2, enabling greater flexibility in designing IoT and smart products.
