The EE-SX3173 and EE-SX4173 securely attach to the printed circuit board using M3 screws. An optional Zener diode is also available to improve noise immunity. The connectors to the devices are held in place with a secure latch to prevent disengagement under high vibration levels.

Compact photomicrosensors for automating industrial and office systems
Omron Electronics Components Europe introduces a new range of compact surface-mount photomicrosensors. The new EE-SX3173 and EE-SX4173 measure 13.6 x 14.7 x 8.3 mm.
The devices have a 5mm wide slot and are available in 5V or 24V DC versions. The 5V DC version is designed for consumer electronics and office equipment, while the 24V DC version is integrated into heavy-duty industrial systems. Both are available in dark-ON or light-ON configurations to simplify circuit design. These devices are currently offered in SMD format, although versions with connectors for wired mounting are planned for future development.
