The family of 22 AEC-Q101-compliant 40V N-channel MOSFETs incorporates IR's renowned Gen12.7 trench technology, delivering ultra-low Rds(on) in D2Pak-7P, D2Pak, DPak, TO-262, IPAK, and TO-220 packages. The high-end AUIRFS8409-7P model in a D2Pak-7P package offers a maximum Rds(on) as low as 0.75 mΩ at 10 Vgs with a current rating of up to 240 A. These new devices offer low conduction losses and robust avalanche performance for increased efficiency, power density, and reliability. With these features, many applications using these new COOLiRFET™ devices operate at significantly lower temperatures than more advanced MOSFETs.
“IR’s new automotive-approved 40V COOLiRFET™ MOSFET family achieves benchmark Rds(on) across all available packages, providing a high-efficiency solution for high-current automotive applications requiring high performance and reduced total system cost,” said Jifeng Qin, Automotive MOSFET Product Manager at IR’s Automotive Products Business Unit.
IR’s automotive MOSFETs undergo dynamic and static device averaging testing, as well as 100% automated wafer visual inspection, as part of IR’s zero-defect automotive quality initiative. The new devices meet AEC-Q101 approval, which requires no more than 20 percent Rds(on) variation after 1,000 temperature cycles during testing, and feature an environmentally friendly, lead-free, and RoHS-compliant materials list.
