The OPTIGA Trust M MTR is a tamper-resistant hardware device, certified to the EAL6+ (high) Common Criteria (CC), featuring up to 10 kB of user memory, an I2C interface with a shielded connection, and four monotone counters. The OPTIGA Trust M MTR allows OEMs to download and incorporate their Device Approval Certificate (DAC) retroactively, up until the start of production, without exposing the private key.
This means that product IDs do not need to be decided in advance when the roll is ordered or manufactured, giving OEMs greater flexibility when deciding on product variants after ordering security chips. The Infineon Technologies OPTIGA Trust M MTR shield is used to evaluate OPTIGA Trust M security solutions. This development tool has a microBUS design that allows for easy prototyping with MPU and MCU platforms. The OPTIGA Trust M MTR shield is compatible with the qwiic ecosystem and is CC EAL 6+ certified. This compact shield can be combined with the Pioneer Wi-Fi® PSoC™ 62S2 BT Kit and the OPTIGA Trust Adapter.
