The design optimizes space and reduces the need for multiple switches, streamlining assembly and terminal connections.
The new product range features three different configurations:
- Two-step detection type
- Redundant type
- Fault detection type
The two-step detection type makes it possible to detect two operating points with a single switch. It offers an attractive alternative for many interlocking applications that require pre- and final closing detection. This solution meets customer needs for minimizing component size and cost in the application. The design is simplified by reducing the tolerance chain.
The redundant circuit breaker integrates two internal circuits into a compact unit, ensuring continuous operation even if one circuit fails. This is the first time such a concept has been implemented with a three-terminal circuit breaker.
The fault detection switch identifies faults in wiring and internal circuits. Functional safety is the primary reason for using this solution. Immediate information about the type of fault is essential for these applications.
The ASQD, an evolution of Panasonic's slide switch range, also offers: quiet operation, high contact reliability, long travel, excellent shock and vibration resistance, and IP67 protection.
