The 100HV Series was launched in September of this year and has since generated considerable interest. These small single-wire reed relays (SIP/SIL) have a voltage rating of up to 3kV and more than double the coil resistance of previous devices (up to an impressive 6800 ohms).
The varied range of relays is ideal for many applications, such as mixed-signal semiconductor testers, high-end cable testers, motherboard testers, medical electronics, electric vehicles, solar energy, physical studies, in-circuit test equipment, and high-voltage instrumentation.
Also on display will be the new 100HC series high-power SIL/SIP foil relays . These 40W relays were launched in late October 2021 and can handle 3A continuous current and even higher levels in pulsed current applications.
The 100HC series relays are suitable for low-level or "dry" switching applications, and due to their high coil resistance, up to 6000 ohms, they are ideal for low power consumption.
This higher coil resistance results in less heat generation, providing a thermal EMF performance of less than 10 μV.
Due to the high power rating of up to 40 W (at 1 A switching), in many cases these relays can be used as an alternative to mercury wet reed relays, helping users to comply with RoHS regulations.
