The new range includes C and positive-butt models in nine different heights, ranging from 4.5 mm down to low-profile designs just 1.1 mm above the board level, enabling smaller, lighter, and lower-profile PCB designs. Harwin Spring contact connectors suit a wide variety of applications and markets, including antenna contacts in handheld and mobile applications, RFI sensing, LED connections, radio frequency identification tags, vision systems, PCB grounding, and board-to-board contact.

Harwin Spring Contact Connectors maintain a positive force against a contact surface and are available in various widths to provide a range of spring contact forces. Tolerant of significant mating misalignment, the new design incorporates a positive stop to prevent damage from over-compression. It also features an anti-hook contact function. Specifications include gold-plated contacts and current ratings up to 1.0 A. They can withstand up to 10,000 insertion cycles and operate in a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. Supplied on tape and reel, the connector's spring contact range allows for cost-effective assembly using pick-and-place machines.
