The force sensors cover a nominal force range from 500 N to 200 kN. In addition to the 4-20 mA and 0-10 V analog interfaces, the load cells can now be ordered with a digital output, using IO-Link as the interface.
Like all HBK sensors with an IO-Link interface, the digital U2B and C2 models integrate the "Sensor Health Monitoring" system. Applied forces and temperature conditions are constantly compared to the sensors' physical limits. If these limits are exceeded, a warning is triggered, allowing users to take timely action and prevent further damage in most cases. Furthermore, accuracy has been significantly improved, and integrated temperature measurement is included.
IO-Link is standardized and compatible with all fieldbuses. HBK offers functional blocks, which significantly simplify the integration of sensors into control systems.
In addition to force transducers, HBK also offers IO-Link sensors for torque and weight.
