The powerful protection modules are based on Safe Energy Control Technology (SEC) and feature a network-following arc arrester. These lightning current arresters offer space savings of up to 66% compared to conventional surge protection systems with individual fuses. By eliminating the upstream fuse, the solution is up to 20% more economical. Thanks to the innovative push-pull interlocking mechanism, the plug-in protection devices can be removed quickly and easily for maintenance. Simultaneously, the interlocking mechanism keeps the connector firmly inserted into the base element in the event of a discharge or vibration. The new Type 1 arresters are particularly well-suited for installation on wind turbines in wind farms.
