This highly integrated, ultra-low-power sensor can be customized for a wide range of high-performance applications, including wrist-worn devices, head-up displays, smartphones, and AR/VR/MR headsets. The BHI360 combines a best-in-class gyroscope with an accelerometer, enabling complete customization. The integrated sensor fusion library allows for head-oriented 3D audio for personalized sound experiences, as well as easy gesture recognition.
The BHI360's programmable IMU includes a custom, integrated, low-power processor. This custom processor can execute simpler sensor processing algorithms, thus avoiding activating the device's central processor and maintaining ultra-low power consumption. The BHI360 offers fast SPI (50 MHz) and I2C (3.4 MHz) host interfaces, as well as multiple SPI, I2C, and GPIO interfaces for external sensors. Typical total current consumption is less than 600 μA for 3D orientation. The BHI360 smart sensor is compatible with the BHI360 Shuttle Board 3.0.
