In addition, the new line of variators is even easier to maintain and troubleshoot with wireless control via Bluetooth, while ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for passengers.
The EB3000 chassis front panel is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper. As a result, it easily fits into all types of elevators and buildings, including machine-room (MR) and machine-room-less (MRL) elevators, as well as low-rise and high-rise buildings. It is also suitable for both new construction and retrofitting existing structures. With integrated EMC filters, Delta's contactor-free EB3000 drives also support the CANopen Lift CiA 417 specification for standardized communication between elevator components, as well as Modbus as a serial link between the elevator controller and the drive. Many incremental encoders are supported, including several with absolute positioning, such as EnDat 2.2, SSI, and BiSS-C.
Direct landing helps passengers reach their destinations faster without discomfort during elevator stops. Precise torque control compensates for recoil for a smooth start. Both direct landing and torque control enhance passenger comfort. Safe Torque Off (STO) is a safety feature that prevents the motor from generating unexpected torque. Entrapment prevention prevents passengers from being trapped in the elevator in the event of an encoder failure. Furthermore, the new drives help users reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by reducing the number of contactors, motor wiring, and EMC filter, and, most importantly, by integrating a data logger to improve repair efficiency.
Additional features
The EB3000 family can also connect to mobile devices via Bluetooth for wireless control. Autotuning, an external monitor, parameter settings, an oscilloscope, and a file manager are available. The included data logger supports 20 channels, 6 trigger modes, and 3 sampling times, which users can preset to detect variations, identify errors, and reduce troubleshooting time.
