The Cypress CY8CKIT-026 CAN and LIN Shield kit, available from Mouser Electronics, allows designers to evaluate the CAN and LIN slave communication capabilities of any Arduino-compatible microcontroller-based kit that supports these protocols. The kit includes two CAN transceivers for high-precision, high-speed transmissions, two LIN transceivers, and R3-compatible Arduino headers. This kit can be used with any of Pioneer's Cypress kits, such as the Pioneer CY8CKIT-042 PSoC® 4, the Pioneer CY8CKIT-044 PSoC 4 M-Series, or the Pioneer FM4-176L-S6E2GM FM4 S6E2G-Series kit.
The five sample projects in the CY8CKIT-026 CAN and LIN Shield kit demonstrate the CAN and LIN capabilities of the programmable Cypress PSoC 4 SoC and enable designers to create applications using the simple CAN and LIN slave components in the Cypress PSoC creator™ integrated design environment (IDE) or by modifying the sample code. The IDE simplifies system design and accelerates time to market by allowing simultaneous hardware and firmware design.
