The smart gadget displays relative humidity and temperature values on its screen and can also communicate wirelessly with a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
The Sensirion SHT31 smart gadget helps developers get started with an environmental sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, and corresponding applications. The smart gadget includes an integrated SHT31 humidity and temperature sensor, an LCD controller and display, and a Bluetooth module. The LCD screen displays relative humidity (±2 percent accuracy), dew point, and temperature in either Celsius (0.3 degree accuracy) or Fahrenheit (0.5 degree accuracy).
The smart gadget supports two debug interfaces, as well as I2C and SPI protocols. Developers can also take advantage of the device's comprehensive hardware, firmware, and software resources. For enhanced connectivity, developers can utilize the available applications for both iOS and Android devices.
The Sensirion SHT3x series humidity and temperature sensors, also available from Mouser Electronics, are based on Sensirion's patented CMOSens technology, which combines the sensor's environmental and processing electronics onto a single chip, resulting in greater system integration, as well as accurate measurements with long-term stability over the sensors' operating conditions.
