Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. introduces the “Cupertino” design subsystem (MAXREFDES5#), a precise 16-bit analog-to-feed (AFE) solution. This highly integrated design subsystem meets the needs of industrial sensors, process control, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Its analog inputs—-10V to +10V, 0V to 10V, and 4-20mA—support the ubiquitous analog outputs of industrial sensors.

QR Solver
The decomposition and the QR solver are implemented as two subsystems that operate in parallel in a segmented manner as shown in Figure 4. The first subsystem executes steps 1 and 2 in the box titled The QR solver, in which the second subsystem executes the back substitution in step 3. The back substitution is identical to that used in the Cholesky solver.

Do you need your oscilloscope to be able to see details in increasingly smaller electronic signals? You're not alone. Interest in gaining visibility into small signals, both current and voltage, is growing. Specifically, oscilloscope users want to be able to see the small signal changes that occur in large signals (high dynamic range measurements), or to see small signals that don't require high dynamic range. Often, these signals change by only a few millivolts or milliamperes. Industrial examples include high-quality current rail testing, medical technologies developed to interact with human physiology, unique high-energy physics experiments that generate small pulses, and mobile devices where overall power and current consumption in sleep mode are critical.
